Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at 6:51PM Yes that’s right, Pawn Stars! If you are a fan of the popular show on the History Channel “Pawn Stars” you know what I am talking about. While Mandee and I were in the Apple store in Vegas this last weekend who walked in? Rick and Big Hoss. We are planning to go to their store when we are back for vacation in March but it was still cool to see them in person. I didn’t want to be “that guy” who made a big deal of it so I just waited til I could get a sneaky pic.

Well the annual trek to CES started off a bit slow. We decided to head out to Denver a day early to make sure we didn’t get caught in the arctic blast of bad weather that was set to hit Kansas on Wednesday. We had quite a bit of waiting in the hotel since our flight wasn’t scheduled until 4:30pm on Wednesday. Then our flight was delayed due to the weather. Then our plan had to be de-iced. But we did make it here last night and I was obviously jet lagged or something this morning since I couldn’t figure out the time change. I was supposed to get up at 7am and made the mistake of getting up at 5. The real dumb move was that I got ready and headed down to the lobby before I realized my mistake. Oh well it gave me time to write this blog post. Hopefully things go a little smoother the rest of the week.
PS: one good thing is that I am up about $70 so far thanks to roulette and black jack.
Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 11:32AM We didn’t last long without a family dog. About three weeks ago Mandee and I went to a local pet store to just “Look” since we were bored. Suffice it to say we went back within an hour to get Wink. We decided to get a small dog to make sure he couldn’t hurt a fly, literally. Here is the smallest, cutest little Chihuahua I have ever seen in my life. Learn something from me here… don’t impulse buy a pet! Although he is cute and fun it’s like having another baby in the house again. I am a sucker at times.

Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 11:19AM It’s been a while since I reviewed any movies.. that should tell you something (not much good stuff out there lately). Food Inc. is not one of those movies. It is a fantastic behind the scenes look at the food industry. I don’t want to spoil it for you but be prepared you will not want to eat any meat, poultry, grain, drinks etc. after watching this movie. Boy how I wish we had a Whole Foods in our neck of the woods.
